OUR WARRANTY POLICY

Prime RV caravans are guaranteed to be free from defects in material and workmanship both interior and exterior, including electrical and plumbing when handed to the original purchaser.

We recommend service be done on your caravan every 3-6 months, especially the maintenance of the sealing outside of the caravan after frequent off-road travel.

Warranty repairs and replacements will be undertaken by Prime RV or an authorized repairer. Unless the owner has prior written consent from Prime RV, under the warranty, Prime RV will not reimburse the owner under the warranty for repairs undertaken by an unauthorized repairer.

The Warranty will not apply in certain circumstances, including where the Caravan has been:

  • Used for a purpose other than which it was designed and intended.

  • Used for the purpose of permanent residence.

  • Used for commercial purposes.

  • In an accident.

  • Towed by a vehicle other than a standard passenger vehicle.

The Warranty will also not extend to specific types of damages determined by Prime RV to be damaged by any of the following:

Wear and tear when the caravans have been used for permanent living purposes. Tears, punctures, and fading to fabric items, mattresses, and furniture and damage caused by alteration or repairs being undertaken by an unauthorized repairer.

Damage to the interior caused by misuse. Damage to appliances due to an accident, misuse, abuse, or alteration or use with unauthorized accessories or use other than as instructed, connecting to incorrect current and voltage or any other conditions beyond our control.

Off-Road Caravans Warranty Policy:

Prime RV's off-road range of caravans has been designed and constructed to give added strength and ground clearance for limited unsealed road usage. Gas venting regulations and other construction restraints limit the effectiveness of these caravans against dust and water penetration. Under no circumstances should these caravans be exposed to the water crossing at or above body floor level.

We strongly recommend towing at a safe speed according to travel conditions with extra care and attention required for uneven surfaces. Our off-road caravans are not designed for hard impacts or heavy landings or severely rutted roads or tracks.

The following items for off-road caravans don't cover under Prime RVs OFF-ROAD Warranty Policy:

  • Impact or stone damage to body, chassis, or running gear.

  • Soiling of fabrics and internal fitments from dust and other airborne substances.

  • Water damage due to water crossing

  • Movement or damage caused by dislodgment of appliances and fittings resulting from hard impacts or heavy landings or severely rutted roads or tracks.

  • General damage caused by misuse

  • The Warranty does not extend to maintenance items that are the responsibility of the purchasers.

Prime RVs include equipment and fitting such as cooking appliances, tires, and toilets which are separately warranted by their manufacturers and not covered by Prime RVs Warranty. If necessary, Prime RV will help owners make a warranty claim to these individual component manufacturers.

How do I make a warranty claim?

To make a warranty claim for your product the first step is to get it assessed by Prime RV. For any inquiries regarding products on your caravan, e.g. the operation of fridges, microwave, and stereo please refer to manufacturer support on their website and your manuals and booklets included in the folder given when you purchase your caravan. Warranty and service will not provide
any over-the-phone assistance on how to use products. This will be handled at a dealership/salesperson level. This is due to warranty and service being unable to conduct their operations, providing instructional use or inquiries.

Option 1: Go direct to the product manufacturer.

It’s often best to go directly to the manufacturer. This is because many manufacturers have dedicated support centres
specifically for issues in relation to their product support and advanced troubleshooting. In many circumstances, Prime RV may be able to provide a quicker assessment of, and remedy for, any issue with your caravan over the phone. You may therefore contact the manufacturer Prime RV on our phone number or via email.

Option 2: Raise a warranty claim through our dedicated email service.

In the unlikely event that you encounter any issues covered under our warranty, we are here to assist you promptly and efficiently. If you need to make a warranty claim, simply send us an email at warranty@primerv.com.au. Our dedicated team of experts will handle your claim with care and attentiveness, guiding you through the process to ensure a seamless resolution.
